Sharp Sheriff Last Week

Meet Sheriff Jasmine!  This Sheriff loves eating brownies and playing her Xbox 360.  She is great in Math and her favorite color is sky blue!  She was an excellent Sheriff and handled her responsibilities very well.  I am so proud to be her teacher!  Way to go Sheriff Jasmine!



Cause and Effect with Laura Numeroff Books

Each group read a different book and worked together to pick out cause and effect statements.  They did a great job! 

Special Visitor to 2nd grade

We had a special visitor to 2nd grade today.  We had read the story Officer Buckle and Gloria and learned that there are special dogs that help police officers.  We have also been discussing heroes in the community.  Today we met Reese the dog and a NLR police officer.  Reese showed off his jumping skills and how much he loves tennis balls.  We also learned that Reese helps the community by finding drugs and also assisting on search parties!  We were very impressed with Reese the police dog!

Sharp Sheriff of the week

Say howdy to Lawson!  He was an excellent Sharp Sheriff!  Sheriff Lawson's favorite color happens to be purple and his favorite activity is playing his Nintendo DSI.  I am sure that he is very good at it too!  He also loves snacking on chocolate chip cookies.  And let me tell you he is very good at Math!  Way to go Sheriff Lawson.
