Sharp Sheriff of the Week

Howdy Brooke!  She is such a wonderful Sharp Sheriff!  Her favorite subject is Art and she loves the color purple.  She has a great time when she has sleepovers with her friends and she loves to eat brownies!  I think that she is super kind and such a smart girl! Wonderful job Brooke!

Sharp Sheriffs Sharing

We have been working really hard on our public speaking.  Everyday after writing in our journals one sheriff is chosen to share and one sheriff is chosen to T.A.G. that sheriff.  After the first sheriff shares his/her writing then the second sheriff Tells what the sheriff wrote about, Asks a question over the writing, and Gives a compliment on the writing.  They have done very well with this activity!

Sheriffs Writing Shows Promise!

This week we have been focusing on summarizing stories along with cause and effect.  We read the book Diary of a Wombat and it made us laugh.  We were able to find many causes and effects within the story.  When we were finished we went back to our desks and wrote our reading responses.  Check out how serious we take our writing time!

Super Special Visit to Sharp Sheriff Country!

We had a surprise guest come and visit the sharp sheriffs.  We were so excited to welcome Dr. and Mrs. Roberts to our classroom.  We were able to show off some of our writing responses!  We know that Dr. Roberts expects us to always do the right thing, so we are studying hard!  Thanks for the visit!

Sharp Sheriff of the Week

Meet Dylan, our "Sharp Sheriff" for this week.  Dylan has done an outstanding job with his duties and has really been a great leader.  His favorite color happens to be green and his favorite subject is Math.  He loves it when he has a chance to attend a sleepover and his favorite snack is olives.  I am so proud of him!

Gallery Walk!!

In teams of 2, the sheriffs created word problems from a random number.  They also had to represent the number by drawing it out.  After they finished their gallery walk looking at everyone's awesome work, they went to their desks and did it all by themselves.  They were incredible!  Show off Sharp Sheriffs!
